Degas (1877-83, Tondo #1)
The polymath of the Impressionists, Edgar Degas (1834 - 1917) sketched frame profiles throughout his career. His designs, like this one, were highly original. Degas drew the cross-section of this frame in his sketchbook of 1877-83 -- we took the liberty of rendering it in the round (tondo profile #1). This frame is gilded in 16kt pale gold over yellow bole. The mirror is water white (low iron), with a 5/8" bevel.
This style mirror can be custom-made in any size with any kind of gilding (yellow gold leaf, white gold leaf, silver leaf, etc.).
