Custom Framing NYC
We want your experience working with Bark Frameworks to be convenient, straightforward, and enjoyable.
We are custom framers. The designs and finishes we offer are created by us and are not available anywhere else. Although we are well-known for our work with artists, galleries, and museums, we enjoy working with collectors too – anyone who owns work that needs framing and wants to feel confident that it will be preserved well into the future. We often collaborate with interior designers and art advisors as well.
We are located in Long Island City, less than ten minutes from Manhattan via the Midtown Tunnel or the Queensboro Bridge. Free parking is available in front of our building. Alternatively, we are one subway stop from Lexington Avenue.
If you are unfamiliar with what we do, view our framing projects to see examples of our work.
Visit Us in Long Island City
We recommend meeting in person at our showroom to discuss your framing project. If bringing your artwork to our showroom is inconvenient – especially if the artwork is large or fragile – one of our designers can make a house-call and bring frame and finish samples.
Please call us or complete our online form to schedule an appointment to meet with a designer.
If you prefer, you are welcome to call or email us to discuss your framing project. We can review a digital file of the artwork to be framed and respond with design suggestions and quotes.
Art Services
We offer many services to support our clients. Our Registration department contributes to the ease and security of working with us—by picking up and delivering art in our truck, preparing condition reports on the works in our care, coordinating with allied professionals such as conservators and art handling companies, and providing fine-arts insurance. And our designers are available for on-site consultation.
What to Expect: Our Framing Process
After you meet with or speak to a designer, and receive a quote, final approval is needed from the client before work can begin. While a timeline depends upon many factors, framing usually takes 2-3 weeks, depending upon our Production schedule. Insurance paperwork must be completed, and we require a 50% deposit before work begins. Framed art can be picked up or delivered within NYC.
